Our mission

A neighborly map of how homes are cared for.

We help people who are about to sign a lease hear honestly, kindly, and clearly from the neighbors who lived there first.

The Home Care Rating

The Home Care Rating is a 0–100 score that reflects the attention and care a property receives — how quickly repairs are handled, how respectful the landlord is, how safe and dependable the essentials feel. It's built from verified neighbor reviews and re-weighted by local context like neighborhood safety, so a "good" score means a place that's genuinely well-tended.

  • 80 – 100
Well cared for. A home neighbors recommend.
  • 50 – 79
Mixed care. Worth reading the stories.
  • Below 50
Needs more care. Approach with eyes open.

Our community standards

  • Be honest. Share what actually happened, not what you wish had happened.
  • Be kind. Critique the home and the care, not the person.
  • Be helpful. Write the review you'd have wanted before you moved in.
  • Be specific. Real details ("the boiler took 11 days to fix") help future neighbors more than feelings alone.

Fair to landlords, too

Verified owners can respond to reviews and file disputes with evidence. Our admins read every dispute and can pause, resolve, or dismiss reviews so the Home Care Rating stays a fair reflection of how a home is actually being cared for.
